Feature Request: Inspector Mini Breadcrumb

Hi,
I mentioned the up on level button in the inspector on another thread. I realise you are busy on other things. But thought I would just flesh it out quickly as I don’t think it would be that intrusive if done this way. I do think the breadcrumb at the bottom does function ok but is a bit detached from where you are working. even the duplicate and delete buttons feel that way and could sit in this area I’m suggesting in some way if only as icons like in the outline view.

Here is how Windows 11 handles its breadcrumb with the dropdown toggle open.
(note I don’t think you can fit even the compact horizontal list nicely into the inspector area. but maybe worth considering for the current expanded breadcrumb)

Just a rough example Two buttons to the right.

  •"Up a level" and and as suggested maybe send you to the outline view if it is the last item.
  • :arrow_down_small:dropdown like on the windows example.
    • (The Title could be the dropdown either)

I don’t know if the shortcut Ctrl + Q is available to go “Up a level”

Thanks

Howdy, @samc! Thanks for writing in…while we do not have any plans to get in some type of mini-breadcrumb pattern as you’ve mentioned here, we did include a “Go Up One Level” button in the Inspector Workspace header right next to the Element Manager cog. This allows you to easily traverse up the Element tree you’re in and make adjustments on parents as needed, and then using the “Children” control group on any Layout Element, you can move down the tree all from within the Inspector Workspace now. This should aid greatly in general Element navigation. Thanks!
