Feature Request: Hide Gap elements when Sidebar is Collapsed

Hi!

I think this was a feature some time ago?

When we collapse the sidebar with CTRL+Shift+E, gap elements should be visually hidden.

Thanks!

Thanks! Fixed.

Woah! I didn’t even know that a completely hidden sidebar was possible. Not to hijack this thread or anything but is this “view” available as one of the permissions macros? Would be amazing to simply give some clients front-end non-builder access.

I don’t think this is something we could effectively make a permission for since you already need to be in the builder for it to work. In the next release I’ve made a few adjustments here to make it more consistent. We also needed to hide the lines that appear allowing you to drag to resize rows.

The only difference between the collapse and cmd+shift+E shortcut will be additionally hiding the bar itself. Previously this was done with two slightly difference techniques but it has been consolidated into one function now.

The goal is to make it as close to the front end as possible.
