Feature request: Global Text and Headline settings control

Hi guys,
This topic may already been discussed, but it would be great to see in upcoming releases a Global Headlines and body Text settings control, the same way as we have during editing the individual page.

I am not talking about Theme option typography settings, as these are very limited.

It would be great, because one of my site, I have over 20 pages with H1 and custom size - calc(30px + (20 - 14) * ((100vw - 300px) / (1600 - 300))), and I needed to change H1 size on every page, and I end up doing it manually, page by page. Same with body text.

What you guys think? This could be added to a font page? As this are global settings as well, so perhaps you could choose Font, and at the same time tweak extra settings.

But if someone chooses to tweak per page basis, that’s fine, they would just adjust manually.

Just a thought.

@rafalkukla, you could simply add this to Global CSS:

.page h1 {
  font-size: calc(30px + (20 - 14) * ((100vw - 300px) / (1600 - 300))) !important
}

Or have a unique class on the titles you want to share the size globally.

This will probably be addressed in the upcoming Theme Options cycle.

Hi Misho, sure, make sense as a workaround, just thinking if something can be added as a feature in the upcoming releases. If you had the same setting panel to adjust padding, size, shadows etc. will be much easier to control.

Hi @rafalkukla,

We’ll be rethinking how typography is structured when we get to the Theme Options reboot cycle for sure. Good feedback here - it would be great if there is a way to style things from a more consistent global base than per element all the time. Not sure how we’ll be solving that yet.

Speaking of those vw calc rules, another good technique is the CSS clamp function: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/clamp() (assuming you’re in a position to not need IE11 support).
