Would allow the creation of any number of effect presets that could then be applied to any element by end users. We could create a set of effects for a project so they can be consistently applied throughout a project.
Our often less technically savvy clients could then simply choose from a set of effects so they don’t have to create any themselves, which will no doubt prevent disastrous results

Definitely something we’ve wanted to explore. There are many features now like Effects, Loopers, and Conditions that are the same thing generically applied to all elements. In 4.1 you’ll see we added status indicators. Most of those things are generic features that in theory should work on any element. It would be nice if that was portable from element to element. A technical challenge we face at the moment is that an element is the lowest common denominator for what can be manipulated. So you can apply a preset to an element, but it is dependent on the element types being identical. So we’ve got somewhat of a technical hurdle in the way, but we do want to find a way past that.
