Feature request: "ch" and "ex"

For further flexibility in responsive design, it would be great to have access to the ch and ex units in many of the integer / number inputs throughout Cornerstone, to save wrapping it in calc(), as not wrapping it in calc() reverts the unit back to px.

I appreciate this adds two options to the already relatively long list of units, so is there a way it could be a “hidden” unit? In that it will retain its unit selection when entered (and not revert to px) but not be included in the dropdown?

Howdy, @arthurodb! Thanks for writing in…at this time we do not have any plans to add the ch or ex units as explicit support in the unit pickers, but we will keep this in mind. Their use-cases can be a little niche / implemented somewhat inconsistently in browsers. You can always use the calc() expression as a way to use this when needed as you mentioned. I know it is a bit of extra syntax to write, but it is the escape hatch for things like that.
