Failed to Save Content -

Hi,

I have been working on my site this evening and for some reason started to have an issue with it saving, this has never happened before and so I am a bit confused.

I go to Pro > Content and edit my page called “Home”.

I can click Save once, sometimes this works first time, but then the second time it comes up with the red saving error with Uh Oh etc.

I haven’t seen this issue before and I’ve only added text to my website this evening and so doubt it’s that…

If someone would be able to take a look that’d be fab.

Note: I have recently upgraded the theme from X to Pro.

Thanks.

Hey Tom,

There’s an Internal Server Error when saving the content. This means that the issue is with the web host. That doesn’t tell the exact cause though so please tell your web host to:

  1. Whitelist cornerstone-endpoint directory from ModSecurity or the security system they have.
  2. Check the server’s error logs to see the specific errors and fix them.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for this. I have contacted the Hosting company and they have said that the issue is with the JetPack Plugin.

Not sure if this is a compatibility issue you want to look into, but once disabling the JetPack plugin it is all working again.

Thanks, Tom.

Glad it’s working now and you’re most welcome! And thanks for sharing, noted this as well. Cheers!

Hi,

Sorry, but I need JetPack working on my sites as it monitors downtime etc.

Is this a compatibility thing you could look into?

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

I have a jetpack as well and there is no issue, there is no internal error. It’s probably hosting related and just triggered by jetpack causing internal error, it just happened the affected are requests made through Ajax. And it’s not just the builder that uses Ajax requests. Or maybe I overlooked something from my setup since jetpack has many features.

Perhaps, your hosting could provide the details of the error since they found the culprit, but again, if it’s hosting related then they will have to fix it.

Thanks!

Hi,

I no longer have JetPack and am still experiencing this issue.

It is now happening randomly when just editing the site, with me doing all the work and then it not allowing me to save :(.

Is there any suggestions on this?

Thanks.

Hello Tom,

Can you please reinstall your Pro theme? There might be a missing file or corrupted file which is causing the issue. You can do it by manually updating the Pro theme. Please check out this documentation guide here:

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Sorry, just did this and same issue:

I really need to finish this project, please can someone take another look on the site itself…

I have deactivated all the plugins I could see that might be causing an issue and it didn’t resolve anything :frowning:

Thanks.

Hello Tom,

To better assist you with your issue, kindly provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– FTP Hostname
– FTP username
– FTP password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/docs/getting-support

Thanks.

See Secure Note here.

I have also downgraded to 3.1.2 Stability Release and this didn’t work.

Thanks.

Hey Tom,

We could not connect to the FTP server. It seems that given credentials is incorrect.

Please double check.

Sorry, username didn’t have prefix in it.

Amended now.

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

I was able to add a new section in your homepage.

Please check your Pro Editor and save your changes again.

Thanks… that’s working fine now… what did you do?

Thanks.

Hello Tom,

I only increased your PHP Memory Limit.
