I’ve wasted a good portion of the day trying to make these work together. Two separate elements on page, one a heading, the other Classic Envira Gallery. It won’t work. No matter how many times I edited, it ends up showing the heading (which is a separate section) in the original bloody language. Absolutely weird!
Hey @ivaylo,
There was an issue with the previous version of the themes where the translated page keep reverting to the default language. If you haven’t updated yet, please update to the latest version of X, Cornerstone and Pro.
I also wonder if you have used the Translation Flags located in the lower right corner. Also check if you have the WPML settings the same as in this thread https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/translations/43170/8
Thanks.
Hi, Christian.
Thank you very much for taking the time. I did use the flags in the bottom right corner and I have the latest version of Pro installed. My settings were the same as the ones in the thread mentioned except for the latest one which I promptly adjusted.
A couple of tests later still no luck. I may have get rid of those headings altogether. What a shame…
Hi @ivaylo,
That’s weird, would you mind providing the site’s URL that has this issue and your admin login credentials in a secure note? Would be helpful if you can provide a video recording too.
I’m not sure what’s going on and there is not enough information about how this issue is being triggerd. I may need to try it directly on your site.
Thanks!
Hi, Rad.
Here you go:
Hello There,
Thank you for the clarification. I have logged in and I can see that you are using Revolution slider as your header. Is this header that you are talking about? You may need to create two sliders. One is in English and the other is in Bulgarian. You may need to assign the sliders for each respective pages. Once you are editing the English or Bulgarian page in the Pro Editor, find the page setting and you should be able to assign the slider in the slider settings below masthead as shown below:
I also checked your gallery page and sub pages. A few of the sub pages does not have any sub page translation yet. You will need to duplicate the sub page for the translation. For best results, please review this documentation on how you can properly use WPML in translating pages built with Cornerstone or the Pro editor. You can check it here: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/xtheme/
Hope this helps.
I never said I had a problem with the slider. I am fully aware that I need a separate slider for each language.
My problem is with the gallery sub pages only, which I stated in the note above. As I mentioned, I duplicated, translated and deleted those several times because – no matter what I did – they reverted to the original content. Before anyone asks, among the methods I tried was deleting and recreating and recreating the page content too.
Since it only happens on pages where the Classic Envira Gallery element is used, I am inclined to chalk it up to that.
Hi @ivaylo,
Sorry for the confusion.
But I’m still not sure how to reproduce the issue. Would you mind providing a video recording and the exact URL where this happens? Does the heading a default heading of the page or something you added?
Thanks!
Well, I have managed to solve my issue. I explained what the problem was clearly and gave you access so I don’t know why you weren’t able to recreate it. Never mind.
The problem was that the headings above the Envira Gallery kept reverting to the original language. The solution I came up with after many failed attempts is pretty weird. These are the steps that worked for me:
- Add a section between the heading and the Envira Gallery.
- Add a Text element to newly created section.
- Paste a random paragraph.
- Remove section margins and padding.
- Move section below the Envira Gallery.
- Delete the content between
<p>...</p>
tags but leave tags intact.
Not exactly rocket science but it worked for some reason.
Glad it’s okay now. Yes, I know the problem but I couldn’t reproduce it which is why I requested more clarification like a video.
There is WPML, gallery and gallery subpages, and gallery menu, and the heading. And I’m not sure about which page where these are happening as you haven’t provided information about them, just about the issue.
And thanks for sharing.
There is a navigation dropdown called Gallery and the problem was with the Gallery pages, which contain an Envira Gallery each. If you scroll up to my previous posts you will see that I have referred to the “Gallery pages” or “Gallery subpages” more than once. They are also the only ones that use the Envira plugin, so yes, I did provide information about them.
I’m glad that it was solved too.
Hello There,
Your login credentials is no longer working.
Could you please update it?
Thanks.
You are a bit too late to the party. I removed the that login just after I had solved my problem. No disrespect, but it appears that some of the staff members skim through the thread missing key information and then post comments which are no longer relevant.
Hi,
Sorry about that, we always do our best to go through the thread and understand the issue but we missed that.
Anyway glad to know problem is solved.
Have a nice day!
