Enable/Disable for different parts of the element styling

We talked about this a lot in the last beta round, so I’m hoping it’s still in your roadmap somewhere… but I reeeeeeeeally wish there was a way to quickly toggle on/off the controls for different styling options.

The main example we talked about last time was that many of the elements have a default box-shadow, and if you want to completely remove it, it feels like you have to click into 4 or 5 different fields to 0 them out and set the color to transparent. Then, even though you’ve essentially turned off that shadow, when you’re scrolling through your list of controls, you still have the visual weight of all those empty fields to parse through.

So, it would save a lot of time and mental effort to be able to hit an on/off switch for that styling.

(When you purge the beta forum at each new release, I don’t know if you archive those topics somewhere, but I know you folks had some ideas around how this could be accomplished)

Yes! It’s still on our radar. We’ve just not implemented it this cycle. It’s something we’ve discussed for the next update where we are going to rethink some of the toolbars and allow the workspace panels to be individually undocked and moved around.

Misho brought up a similar pain point about too much scrolling and I posted some screenshots that Kory mocked up of the ON/OFF toggles. We really like the idea, we just weren’t able to prioritize it for this release

Great!

And I dig the little switch. I scanned the titles of all the other posts, but hadn’t read them yet – so good to know it’s still coming!

Thanks! Definitely inspired by your toggle idea
