EMERGENCY: Site messed up by installing a "Site" block from the design cloud

Hi,

My site is http://staging.pointsevengroup.com/

I downloaded the lawyer theme from design cloud to copy one portion of the template for one page, but it altered the layout of my entire site. Can you please help me uninstall this so I can return to the version of the site prior to when this was installed. Please help me do this ASAP.

Thanks for writing to us.

Regretfully, there is no option the revert back the installation. In case if you want a different demo you can click on the install button on that demo from the Design cloud. In case if you want to your older demo then you need to restore the backup of your installation or you can contact your hosting provider for restoring the site on back dates

Can you please double check if there is anything else we can do please. This really messes up our entire site that we have been building for months. We do not have a backup with our hosting…

Hey @Web_Services,

We understand your situation but there’s really nothing we could do. The Lawyer demo is a Site and not just a part like a Content, Header, Footers, etc… See How to Install an Asset section in our Design Cloud Doc here https://theme.co/docs/design-cloud#how-to-install-an-asset

You’ll see there that the only part installing a Site overrides are the Theme Options and the Front Page setting. Your pages will not be deleted.

It was noted internally though that we should add a warning message before installing a Site.
