Hi. I am currently looking into a redesign of my site and really like the Design Cloud Site Crafty but will need to make a few changes. Rather than downloading the whole site and starting from scratch are there “instructions” or templates of the elements used for this site to recreate myself?
I can’t see any in the presets of design cloud
HI @chrisjdavies,
Thanks for reaching out!
There’s no option to save the preset of Crafty element in the design cloud. If you want to use the elements from the Crafty template, I suggest that you create a staging area and then install the Crafty Template. Then save the preset that you wanted and then download the preset from your staging area and then upload the template .tco files to your live website. In that way, you can use the preset to recreate by yourself.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hi @marc_a
I have a similar query and it would be great to get some further clarification on your response above.
I am looking to use a section from this site template https://demo.theme.co/church/. I would just be wanting to use the section in the middle of the site with the 5 figures animating, so I don’t want to download the full site and start from scratch.
Please could you explain how I create a staging area to install the template? And how I save and download the preset that I need from this?
Thank you.
Hi Danny,
Thanks for reaching out!
1.) The first thing you should is to create a staging area
2.) Install the X or Pro theme in your staging area and validate it to access the design cloud.
3.) You can validate your staging area by adding the link of your staging in your license code.
4.) Then in your staging area, download the church template.
5.) After downloading the template, go to the church homepage and save the template you want to save.
6.) Go to the template manager in your staging area
7.) Select the template you want to download then you can see the download button at the bottom part.
8.) Then your files should be .tco files
9.) Then go to your live website template manager and upload the .tco files
10.) Once you uploaded the files, you can now use the template on any of your pages.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
