Edit old bottom footer

Hi there,

I realized that since the last big update some classic elements don’t work properly anymore and the customizer has also changed. I have some quite old websites (that need to be refreshed if I’m honest), that still use a lot of classic elements and also not header and footer that were created with the builder.

Is there still a way to edit my bottom footer? I can’t access it through the customizer anymore and it’s also not part of the widgets. Only the normal footer is.

And is there a way to transform classic elements into new ones automatically or do I have to rebuild it step by step?

Hello Christian,

Thanks for writing in!

You can add or change the logo images in the Appearance > Widgets > Footer 1 area. You may edit the image or completely change the HTML widget in the Footer 1 area.

You also have added the other logo images in Cornerstone > Globals > Options > Footers > Content Area.

Thank you, the second path worked even though it was quite tricky for me to find because it looks so different in the new theme version.

Is the header and footer builder also available in the X theme or only in PRO? If only in PRO could I switch without loosing the look of the website? I think it would make sense to rebuild these parts.

Hi Christian,

The Header and the Footer builder are only available with the Pro. If you want to upgrade to the Pro from X, please go through the process here: https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro and then go through the following article and video on Header Builder.
And as the Pro is the superset of the X, you will not lose anything after upgrading.
