Trying to edit several pages and posts in Pro and the page doesn’t load. It’s been like this since Tuesday. We’ve updated to the latest version but still not loading.
Hello Craig,
Thanks for writing in! After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using Autoptimize, WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.
If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:

It’s still not working.
Hello Craig,
Thanks for providing the information.
I have logged in and investigated the issue. It turns out that you inserted this line:
<script src="https://d8921cfcafc74fc4adae3464c30acaac.js.ubembed.com" async></script>
This is not supposed to be inserted. I have modified it so that it will no longer prevent the Pro Editor to load.
Please check your site now.
Hey there, we removed the Autoptimize plugin last Friday and saw the theme load time improve immediately. Not sure if this was causing the problem or if it was that extra line of code.
Have you noticed plugins related to clearing up a site’s cache corresponding with loading errors with the Pro theme? We’ve noticed a similar issue when we tried to use Hummingbird to diagnose our page speed issues.
After running the site through PageSpeed Insights, we’re looking for a tool that can help up eliminate render-blocking resources and remove unused CSS. Will either of these, WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache, work or will it cause our site to load more slowly again? Thank you!
Hi Craig,
Those plugins to improve site is useful if it is used correctly. Pro theme’s resources are already minified. If you set minification on WPRocket or any plugins you preferred, it would be best if you can exclude the themes resources. Look at this thread explaining Pro resources. The usual root cause of those issue is, you are minifying an already minified resources. On other cases, it breaks functionality.
You don’t have to follow all those suggestion about render-blocking or unused CSS. Sometimes, if it is not done correctly, again it will cause issues. It would be best if you can just limit the plugins you were using. For unused CSS, be careful on removing certain custom CSS. Make sure it is not really in used, else it will ruin display other parts of your site.
