Easy Table of contents widget sticky

I am testing https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/easy-table-of-contents/.

I am using the theme pro x layout builder for creating a blog layout for my blogs and I want to use the easy table of contents as a widget for the blogs. I now added ‘Widget area’ in a column of the layout builder but the settings of the Easy Table of contents widget for styling this widget does not work. It seems like Theme x pro layout builder styling overwrites these settings. How should I use the Easy table of contents plugin for widgets inside a layout builder for theme x pro?

Hello @djinnie,

Thanks for writing in! The layout builder does not override the independent widget styles. There could be other 3rd party plugin that is causing your issue. You can troubleshoot with the following:

• Testing For Plugin Conflict
• Child Theme
• Disabling Cache
• Disabling Cdn

If the above suggestions does not help, can you please provide the url of the page where we can see your Ease table of Contents is displayed?

I’ve added the log in for the staging website below.

If you go to:

Cornerstone > Layout builder > Post > you’ll see the widget area at the right side column.

As you can also see I cannot change any settings of this widget area. For example, I cannot add a border or something. It does not show.

Instellingen > Inhoudsopgave (this is the Dutch name for the Easy Table of Contents plugin)
You can see the settings of this plugin. As you can see, if I change something there it does not show in this widget area. It only changes the style of the table of contents inside the content like you can see below. This is automatically generated this table of contents inside the content. It actually should look the same right? The widget AND the automatically generated one inside the content.

By the looks of it, the Easy Table plugin allows the theme to style the widget but not the content. Please reach out to the Easy Table plugin support if they can assist you to style the content like the widget.
