Drop down menu window full background with submenus aligned to the top of the window not the parent link

I am trying to create a dropdown navigation window that spans the full screen. When the primary link is hovered or clicked, I would like the child menu items to start at the top of the panel, not level with the top of the primary link. I would like the background of all the panels to be the same height as the primary panel. How can I achieve this?

Hello @howdi2u,

Thanks for writing in!

You may want to check out this video to know how you can create a full-width dropdown.

Best Regards.

I have watched that video multiple times. That does not work for using a dropdown navigation within the modal.

I have a complicated menu and want to use the dropdown function where when you click on the primary menu item, the submenu slides out to the right.

The existing format of that element has the panels slide out in a column with a shorter length aligned to the top of primary menu item. I would prefer that the column length of the submenu be the same height as the primary menu. I would prefer the whole background be filled like a modal dropdown.

See two attached images to explain what I am tryng to accomplish. The gray background shows what I would like the dropdown menu to look like if all submenu panels are exposed. The other image shows the size and alignment of the submenu items using the dropdown navigation element.

How can I accomplish this?

Thank you.

Hey @howdi2u,

How about using the uBerMenu plugin? Please check out these examples on what you can accomplish similar to your example:

You can get in Pro > Validation > Extensions in your WP Dashboard.

Best Regards.

With Uber Menu the flyout panel is also shorter than the primary panel and aligns to the top of the primary menu item. That is not what I am trying to accomplish.

Hello @howdi2u,

What we do have is just the Dropdown element. You can check out this documentation:
