Don't load script mobile device

Hi Guys.

Is it possible not to load an item due to the size of the screen? For instance, I have a Vimeo video loaded in our page. This hits google page speed hard on mobile, so I was looking to try and remove it.

Hello Hayden,

You can hide the Column element or the DIV element containing your video. Please utilize the “Hide During Breakpoints” option in the element settings. Perhaps this documentation can help you:

Thanks. I did try this, but because it’s hiding it, it still seems to load the scripts associated with the video regardless of if it’s shown or not. Is this correct behavior?

Hey Hayden,

We’re sorry for the confusion. Hiding an element via CSS won’t prevent scripts to be loaded.

Pro, like other themes, do not have a feature to disable 3rd party code scripts like the Vimeo video. You’d need to use a 3rd party optimization plugin. However, we do not provide support for 3rd party plugins that is why our Boost service was recommended by my colleague.

Thanks.

Thanks. I’ll give that a shot.

Hey Hayden,

You’re welcome! If you have any other concerns or clarifications regarding our theme features, feel free to open up a new thread.

Thank you.
