Hey, I read some related posts but didn’t find the right answer.
I am using icon an enabled the post meta in the content settings.
However, it only displays the date, is there a way to display the author without adding custom code?

Regretfully, that’s the design of the Icon stack and there’s no option to change it so custom code is really needed.
What I’d recommend is you upgrade to Pro so you can take advantage of the Layout Builder. You can build a custom Single Post Template according to your own design and you can add the Post Meta the you need by using the Dynamic Content
