Display a random global block on page load

Good morning,

I did display global blocks at random using the classic slider. The slideshow was paused so when you enter the page it would show one at random. However with the latest release of Pro (5.1.3) it now breaks some of the styling.

To show you this I have put a standard global block above the classic slider:

Notice the player at the bottom no longer displays. This is just a standard wordpress default player shortcode styled with CSS.

If the classic slider will not display these 1 global block at random when you go onto the page anymore - what is the best solution?

Hello Jason,

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches since you are using WP Rocket so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

thank you for the advice, yes I had already performed the requests but I did update to Pro 5.1.4 stable release and then once again cleared all cache on site and browsers. I also checked on my phone which I had not done yet and as you can see the bottom box is the one in the slider:

Is there a better way of randomly generating a global block?

Hello Jason,

Regretfully we do not have any option or element that allows you to display a random global block. May I suggest that you use the new Slider element and insert your global blocks in each slide? You can check out the new Slider element here:
