Different headers for different blog categories

Hi,
I have 5 different headers set up and have set the conditions for which pages show for each.

Within the options in this ‘assignment’ function, I can see blog categories. However, when I set them, they don’t show.

I have set a header as seen here > https://fieldgateflowers.co.uk/courses-workshops/ to show when viewing blog categories as listed below;

https://fieldgateflowers.co.uk/category/cutflowerpodcast/
https://fieldgateflowers.co.uk/category/cutflowerpodcast/

Instead, it’s showing the header from here > https://fieldgateflowers.co.uk/weddings/

Why isn’t it working?

Hi @Lorenmn,

Thanks for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing your admin credential so that we can check the back-end settings? To do that, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thank you.

I’ve added a secure note with login detail above.

Hi @Lorenmn,

I have checked your website and found the issue described. I went ahead and created a separate Header and assigned it to the specific post category, but didn’t show that. It might be a different reason behind your issue. I would suggest you update the Pro to its latest version, i.e. 4.3.3, and check if that issue exists. If that exists, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi,
I’ve updated and am still having the same issues (although a different and wrong header shows now).
I’ve set up a staging environment here > https://staging3.fieldgateflowers.co.uk/wp-admin/

Your access is the same as before.

Hi @Lorenmn,

I have just checked your pages in staging and live server and it is showing the correct header currently. Can you please check once and let us know if that issue still exists.

Thanks

No, that’s completely wrong. On staging, I see what you see - which is wrong.

It should the header seen on this page - https://fieldgateflowers.co.uk/courses-workshops/

That’s also the header I want for those 2 blog categories.

Hi @Lorenmn,

Bingo! I’ve found the problem, there are actually 2 Post Category conditions on the assignment. One under the Single, and one under the Archive, it’s later that you need to set. I did go ahead and set that header on your staging site.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!
