Hope all is well. Have you come across this new Automattic plugin yet?: https://wordpress.org/plugins/desktop-mode/
Seems very CS in the basics and I expect it will become mainstream, rather than a plugin at some point soon. It takes a few moments to get used to, but thereafter, with a bit of change of thinking and processes, is a much quicker way of working. So far, CS seems to work fine within Desktop Mode.
What are your thoughts? I have been working on a couple of plugins which initially did not work with Desktop Mode, but now do and well.
