Design Cloud not loading

So I have the 3.1.0-RC1 but when I click on Design Cloud it won’t stop loading.

Any ideas?

I’m having the same issue.

In the inspector I see the below error.
Blocked loading mixed active content “http://demo.theme.co/designcloud/wp-json/design-cloud/v3/index

Essentially the content is being blocked as I’m on a secure server but the design cloud is connecting with an unsecure connection.

Update: I can also confirm if I load from a site without a https connection then the design cloud loads fine.

Thank you! It does have to do with HTTPS connections. We will resolve this prior to release.

I’m quite curious to try out the Design Cloud, but as all my dev sites are HTTPS as default… I can’t try them yet

Why not just change one of them to not use https… that’s what we’ve done as a temporary solution. As its a dev site it doesn’t really matter.

Hi there,

Just wanted to confirm this is fixed for the release which is scheduled for tomorrow!

Hi Alexander,

We still can’t load design cloud from a secure location. Seems to work fine from an http site (different errors though).

Here are the new errors in the console…

Same here still not loading for me either.

For me it has loaded.

EDITED:

Mine loads on an http site just not https… I have tried on three different https sites that I have upgraded.

I have two copies of the same site running on two different dev servers one with http and one https. The http one is loading 100%, the https one is not. I am pretty sure it is not a plugin conflict or anything like that as the only difference is http vs https (and of course the domain).

I have cleared my browser cache, cleared the pro style cache etc.

I have now tried with both Chrome and Firefox in WIndows 10 both with the same result.

We can save a template in the http site and then load it into the https site and the template works we just can’t access the design cloud.

Mine Loaded under https/Chrome/Windows 10.

EDIT: Loaded under https/Firefox too.

Edge is also not working for me and I have definitely never visited any of these sites with Edge

I have also tried upping the PHP and WordPress memory limits just to make sure it wasn’t a memory limit.

Running PHP7.3.11, Memory Limit is 256MB WordPress 5.3.

Plugins for the site just in case:

WP Fastest Cache 0.9.0.0

Advanced Custom Fields PRO 5.8.6
Classic Editor 1.5
Contact Form 7 5.1.5
Duplicate Post 3.2.3
UpdraftPlus - Backup/Restore 2.16.20.24
GDPR Cookie Consent 2.2.2

Hmm, @urchindesign, perhaps you could test-run Better Search&Replace, pretending that you want to change your http://yourdomain.com to https://yourdomain.com? Maybe it finds something?

Also, make really sure that you have cleared all possible caches, plus all impossible ones.

Hi @urchindesign and @hobbsie ,

Sorry to hear you’re still having this issue. Would you mind if I logged into the site to check it out? It’d be better to start a new thread so any secure note isn’t shared with OP as well.

I will create a new thread shortly with info for one of the problem sites. I just want to check if I can load up an empty site on the same server and see how that works.

Thank you! I see your thread. I’ll take a look and followup there
