Design Cloud Minimal Pack Woo Cart Drop Down

Hi Guys. Love this preset. Question is how do i place the woo cart drop down in the main nav bar?

Cheers

Hello Max,

Thanks for writing in!

I can see that you have converted to Pro theme. You will need to create a custom header so that you can insert a cart dropdown element and then apply the preset.

To get you started with the header builder, please check this out:

To properly apply the preset to an element, please check this out:

Hi mate. Thanks for getting back to me. I am using the crafty template for the site.

I have added the minimal pack to my templates file. I can see the cart no probs, and have set up a dummy header and added it no probs.

Since crafty is a template, can i not just add the cart dropdown into this, or will i have to redesign a whole new header.

I am really happy with the crafty header, and am trying to avoid having to work out how i can replicate it just so i can add the cart dropdown.

Cheers in advance.
Max

Hi Max,

The woocommerce icon that you see at the top right section of the Crafty header is part of the navigation menu:
https://demo.theme.co/crafty/

If you want to use the minimal pack you need to add the Cart element to the header after the navigation menu.

You can select one of the elements below:

You can learn more about adding the elements into header using the header builder here:

Thank you.

Hi. Im not sure if i am making myself clear.

I understand how to build headers. I understand how to add the cart dropdown to the header i build. That is fine. I completely understand the process to build headers and add cart drop-downs.

My question is this…

I dont have time to build an entire header. Desktop bar - (hide it in responsive), responsive bar - (hide it in desktop) change colours, borders, particles etc.etc.etc…

The Crafty Header is fine for my purpose. Why reinvent the wheel?

What i want to do, is add the cart drop-down to my Crafty header. I dont want to change the header at all.

Is there an easy way to add the cart drop-down to my crafty header. If there is not, and i would have to build a whole new header, then i wont bother with the cart drop down.

If that is the case, can i suggest that you add the cart drop-down as an option in the pro builder- header section, as i am sure 99.99999% of your customers would use it.

Cheers
Max

Hello Max,

Thank you for the clarification.

The problem is this:

  • The minimal pack is a preset. A preset can only be applied to an element such as the cart dropdown element.

  • The Crafty Demo site is using the default navigation header. What you are seeing in the Crafty Demo header is the default menu and the cart item which you cannot enable/disable in the theme options. With this default header, you cannot insert anything or apply any preset to it. You can only tweak the default header by going to X > Theme Options > Header.

Therefore, adding a cart dropdown to the default header is not possible and it is also not possible to apply the minimal pack preset.

Please be advised that default headers were built-in and will display globally. Any changes to the default header such as addition of elements like cart dropdown are not possible. This is why we have introduced the Header builder so that you can create or add anything you want to display in your header area.

Hope this makes sense.

Great. Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it. Cheers. Max

Glad that we could be of help.

Cheers!
