CS opens another page for WPML

Hi, when I try to edit a page in CS it will open another page for editing.

  1. I have a swedish page
  2. Translated into English using WPML
  3. Frontend: everything looks alright. The english and swedish pages have different IDs and paths looks ok to me
  4. I look at the translated page and would like to edit it. Whatever I do only the original page comes up in CS wether I try to opened it from X-> edit page, or directly from the wp-admin ->CS

Hey there,

Please kindly read the article below regarding the wpml compatibility:

To be able to translate the contents section of the cornerstone please kindly go to the wpml languages settings and change the mode to the subdirectory (/en/) and not the parameter mode (?lang=en).

Then you will be able to change the language of the admin section and go to the cornerstone to change the translated page.

Do I dare to install WPML translation manager&string translation or should I wait with this?

I also seem to have this problem, but I am using X, not Pro. When I click “edit with cornerstone” the original language comes up, even though the page ID is correct and different to that of the original.
Have parameter mode set to directory, as it has always been on this site.
Tried re-saving WPML language settings and the re-saving permalinks but it didn’t seem to help.

mmm… I am not sure about that plugin. If I were you I would backup my website and do test the case.

Hi there,

You also need to change the language of the Admin to the target language which you want to edit. If you still have problems with Cornerstone translation of WPML, please kindly open up a new thread and add your Wordpress Dashboard credentials there using the Secure Note functionality. You can not do that here as the original poster will see the information either.
