As many of you already know there are current issues surrounding the compatibility of Pro and WPML. We've been working closely with the WPML team throughout and here is what we know so far:
- The Header and Footer builder are both incompatible with WPML currently, any content entered within the Header and Footer builder cannot be translated currently.
- There are inconsistences with how WPML is currently working with Pro depending on the permalink structure set. All permalinks should work the same way regardless of the type chosen.
- 23 Shortcodes are missing from the WPML translation file, these will be patched and included once the issue as a whole is resolved.
- The Content Builder is working correctly when WPML language negotiation is 'language_in_directory'.
However, issues appear when 'language_as_parameter' or 'language_per_domain' is used.
We'll continue to update this post with more information as it becomes available. Rest assured having Pro compatible with WPML is a priority and we continue to work closely with the WPML team.
August 7th Update:
After further investigation on both our side and WPML's side this is now a confirmed issue on our end with Pro that we'll be looking into and fixing in an update as soon as possible.
