CS Forms question

Hi there, I’ve purchased CS Forms and looking forward to getting to grips with it.

I have a new site to start building soon, and wanted to create an area where people can filter through the services/products offered by the business. I’ve attached a very simple mockup to explain.

My question is, is CS Forms the right way to go about this, or is there a simpler way within CS already, by using ID’s or classes? The boxes will be simple divs/columns that each link to a corresponding page. For background, I’m not a hardcore developer as I started off as a designer (although I’m not totally useless!) so looking to keep things relatively simple as this doesnt need to do any more than shown. Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance for your help

Hello @underbitestudio,

Thanks for writing to us.

I suggest you take a look at this video tutorial to learn how to achieve the post layout with the filters.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hi @prakash_s, thanks for the reply. I have watched that video and found it helpful - my question was more about whether I can achieve that filtering using simple columns and divs, rather than referencing posts, as they wont be needed for this. Thanks

Hey @underbitestudio,

Regretfully, that is not currently possible. But, this our dev team is aware of this usecase and might consider it as a future feature.

Based on what we know about your use case you can create a Condition expression using Form Data and check for specific values. That way you could hide certain containers in your screenshot. Also checkout our guide on Form Dynamic Content. Let us know if that helps.

Thanks for the replies. @charlie, that would be great, but i would need to toggle/switch between filtering with buttons rather than just display as a given state. I’ve also always found conditions (especially based on date/time) to be inconsistent as to whether they work. For example, I have numerous divs on a page, that represent an upcoming event, and I would like them to be displayed only before the given time, so I set date/time is before x… yet it stays visible afterwards?

What do you mean by:

CS Forms can toggle using its AJAX and Auto Send feature.

If your upcoming events is a post type, it can be filtered by CS Forms.
