Creating new posts

Hello!

I’ve installed X Pro and I 'm unclear about something basic. What is the best approach to creating new blog posts? Should I have my contributors create their posts from:

  1. within the WordPress dashboard (Dashboard => Posts => Add New)
    OR
  2. within the Pro Builder (Pro => Content=> “+” => Post Type = Post)

Is it a matter of preference, or is there a technical reason one option is better?

And follow up questions: If I have them create in the WordPress dashboard and I don’t like the font sizing on the default post template, are my options either to create a child template or change the font size with CSS? (I can’t find any place in the font manager where I can change my post’s H2, H3 font sizes. )

If I have them create posts within the Pro Builder and want to create a standard post look, do I create a post template for them to use?

Hello tari,

Thanks for writing in! The best way of creating your post is to do the following:
1.) Go to Pro > Layouts first and then create a custom Single Post layout. This is very useful if all you post have the same content layout like featured, post meta, post content and some other custom post details.
2.) Once you have set up a custom single post layout, you and your contributors can simply add their content in WordPress Dashboard > Posts > Add New.
3.) If you do not like the styling, font family, or font size of the elements inside the post contents like the h2, h3, etc, then that is the time you add a custom CSS for these elements.

Now, if each of the single posts has its own content layout, then it is much better that you create the post in the Pro Builder.
