Create new page by copying and modifying current page, menu, etc

It has been months since I worked on the site. I need to add a new page. How do I copy the design of a current page, change the slug, meta descriptions, etc., keep it as a draft until I finalize the new content? I started in Word Press, I added the slug and a Meta description sentence, saved it as a draft but it does not show up in Cornerstone Page Builder. Why?

Hi Ami,

Thanks for reaching out.
You can’t see the draft pages in the Cornerstone page builder. I would suggest you can save the page content by Save Template then create a new page and load the template using Load Template by that you will get the same content on a new page with the same design. If the page has any page-specific CSS, you need to copy and paste it into the Page CSS of the new page.

Thank you much. So I do the copy-via template process for the new page, make all the content changes…NOW I want to add a third column, keeping the format of column 1. HOW?

This brought up another question. Is it possible to download/save all my topics, including your great team’s productive solutions? - Ami

Hi Ami,

After you load the template into the new page you can add or modify the content as you can do in the Cornerstone. You can download the saved templates as a .tco file, which can be imported into the X or Pro environment only.

On the last question from my post, let me clarify. I’d like to download ALL my topics with ALL your answers to my local computer. I am not dealing with WordPress often enough so I need my references.

I am a little confused now, are you trying to download the Topics you created in the forum? If that is the case, there is no option for downloading that. You can get those topics anytime you visit our forum.

Hi Ami,

You can insert the template into a New Page in two different ways. First, you can use the Load Template option as shown in the given screenshot or you can use the Use Template option which comes when you are creating a New Page or the page does not have any content.

If you click on the Load Template option, you will get a dropdown with all the templates. You need to select and click on the Insert button to add to the page.

If you click into the Use Template option, you will get a popup with the My Template option and you need to click into the specific template to load it.
