Cornerstone working in staging but not in live after deployment

We’ve completed WordPress, X Theme, and plugin updates on staging servers via WP Engine and ensured everything was working fine before deploying the staging sites live, however we’ve run into an issue where Cornerstone loads and works fine on the staging urls but after deployment, it no longer works on the live site.

In searching the forum, we’ve found similar posts (Cornerstone 5.1.5 not working) where we are getting a similar console error. We can confirm that we’ve tested plugins, all of the same installed plugins are working fine with Cornerstone on staging. We have also tried reinstalling X and Cornerstone.

The site that generates a console error about react-dom.min.js will load Cornerstone but leaves an error message of “Uh oh!” and mentions checking the console errors.

The site that won’t load Cornerstone at all and just loads perpetually is generated an error:

Thanks for writing to us.

It might be the issue of cache. I would suggest you contact your hosting provider to purge all the server level cache. I would also suggest you follow the below steps after clearing the cache.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone
  2. Reinstall the X theme to the latest version
  3. After the X theme is installed now install the Cornerstone plugin.

If it doesn’t work for you please share your FTP details in the secure note.

Thank you! We had cleared caches and reinstalled X but we didn’t do the step of deleting Cornerstone altogether after the fact and that did the trick with both sites.
