When Cornerstone is busy loading tabs the interface sometimes becomes unresponsive and you have to wait until it’s done loading before you can do anything. It mostly happens while loading heavier pages.
@JvP, can you elaborate on this some more for me? What specifically is becoming unresponsive? If I’m loading up a new tab I can still navigate the Workspace for example and go to my Globals and change things, et cetera. I can click on the Document Navigator and look through there if I need. Any detailed feedback is always appreciated on these threads so we can attempt to recreate your situation as closely as possible. Thanks!
No problem. What I mean is the whole Cornerstone UI is locked up when this happens and you can’t click on anything. You have to wait for that tab to finish loading before you can do anything.
If you clicked on anything while the UI was locked up it will execute those clicks when the UI becomes responsive again.
@JvP, hmmm…I’m wondering if this is somewhat related to your other thread with regards to resizing the modals and things locking up somewhat? I cannot replicate this at all…even if I’m loading a very large page, while the tab loads, I am still able to click around on the Workspace and do other things (although, I usually don’t because without a live preview there’s not much to do anyway until that appears). Have you experienced these issues on the previous betas? Wondering if something was updated on your machine recently or is running that wasn’t previously? Just trying to think out loud here.
One thing you might do while loading up a page is load more pages if you plan on working on several side by side.
Yes, this was happening in beta 3 as well. I do not recall if it occurred before beta 3.
Yes, I hear you…even if I CMD + click many assets at once, I never get “locked down” on my end even with everything I have running. I’ll keep an eye on this, but I’m not sure how to replicate at the moment. I’d be curious from others if this happens at times.
