Installed a fresh site, worked the day I installed it. Now here i am with spinning cornerstone. All plugins deactivated except cornerstone.
Hi @turbineflats,
Thank you for the credentials.
I’ve got this error when I check Cornerstone:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING
Uncaught ReferenceError: define is not defined
at cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2nd_place_medal:
Please try to increase memory. See this thread as guide.
Is that the case for all of my sites then? Why would this one need more? Each one is hosted by flywheel. In the past they say it is not their memory problem? I’m reaching out to them now to see what they say.
Hi @turbineflats,
May I know where do you see this issue, I checked and cornerstone builder loads just fine. And there are only 3 pages where the cornerstone is allowed.
Thanks!
Flywheel has increased per the previous suggestion and now they load.
Glad to hear that.
Guess what- Monday morning and we are back to spinning.
same errors
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING
cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2 Uncaught ReferenceError: define is not defined
at cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2
Keep in mind that I did increase as per your suggestion.
Tried to work on another of my sites
Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token
cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2 Uncaught ReferenceError: define is not defined
at cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2
This one has ALSO had the memory increased by flywheel.
Now it is working? Is there something I’m doing wrong that I encounter this error so often?
Hello @turbineflats,
Thanks for updating the thread.
On my end Cornerstone seems to be working fine without any issues. Please try clearing cache and see how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello!
I don’t even want to post because I imagine by the time I get an answer it will be working again. But cornerstone is spinning. The memory has already been increased on this site, to remind you, and it was working fine over the weekend. I’d really like some guidance why I experience this issue multiple times a week on my various x sites.
Hi @turbineflats,
I tried to login to the site using the details you have included in the initial post but the login details do not work anymore.
Kindly update the details with the correct one so that we can check it.
Thank you.
Updated. Thanks.
Hi There @turbineflats
Even through you have increased memory limit manually by yourself, your hosting provider is not allowed to do so. You can check your current server configurations by head over to Dashboard -> WP Serverinfo area.
In that case, you need to contact your hosting provider directly to increase it for you. We also recommend to increase PHP max script execution time to 120 or higher (https://www.simplified.guide/php/increase-max-execution-time).
Another possible issue could be that your hosting provider’s ModSecurity configurations. You can read more information about it from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/edit-preview-issue/58510/15?u=mldarshana).
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Thank you. I reached out to my host and they adjusted the settings and it appears to load. Thank you.
Glad to hear that.
Hello!
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING
cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2 Uncaught ReferenceError: define is not defined
at cs.js?ver=3.5.4:2
Spinning cornerstone again.
Now what?
Here is what I sent to flywheel:
Is it a php configuration issue on your end? We think it is cutting off a file before it is done loading. Other people don’t seem to be having this issue.
SCRIPT1006: SCRIPT1006: Expected ‘)’
cs-vendor.js (2324,28)
0: ‘define’ is not defined
cs.js (1,1)
Define is not defined stack overflow suggests that it is due to the php not fully loading the page because it is too big and I’ve noticed that if I refresh enough the file may end up loading and it works.
Hello @turbineflats,
I have logged in to your staging site and I could not replicate any issue.
I can edit the pages.
Please clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode and edit your page again.
Yep, after I posted what I sent to flywheel, we figured if we reloaded multiple times the script would eventually load. Trust me, I try it on many browsers and computers before I reach out here. I’m waiting to see what flywheel says if they can help at all going forward. Thanks.
No problem.
Please let us know how it goes.
