Cornerstone Plugin Update Causes Full Website Crash, Again

Updating Cornerstone triggers an error across my entire website. It can be found in a previous thread of mine: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-plugin-update-causes-full-website-crash/13469

"“Fatal error: Call to undefined method Cornerstone_Plugin::get_registry() in filepath/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/elements/class-element-manager.php on line 65”

Reverting to a previous version fixes the issue.

I have no custom code. Wordpress does not update with the old version of the Cornerstone plug-in. I cannot update the Cornerstone plug-in without the above error triggering. No plug-ins are conflicting.

I have logged into FTP, deleted the cornerstone directory, and gone to X -> Overview and the reinstalled copy still triggers the above error when updating.

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, please check your parent X Theme if you renamed it something other than x. If so rename it back to x and reactivate the X Theme or Child theme.

If that does not work, please provide us login credentials in a secure note, so we can take a closer look.

Cheers!

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have not renamed the theme. Details in new secure note

Hey @adamcollins,

Please delete Cornerstone folder via FTP again then update X first. Then, go to X > Overview so X will install Cornerstone again. If that does not help, please give us FTP access.

Thanks.
