Cornerstone loads blog posts layout instead of page layout

Hi guys,

For some reason cornerstone is loading the page into a blog post layout whenever I create a new page and go to edit it - https://prnt.sc/j5jYFPR7wEWS

Any idea why this is happening?

Hello @kcreative,

Thanks for writing in! Yes, that is expected because by default, the builder will use the default page template which is the same as the blog post when using the Ethos stack. You need to change the default page template to Blank - No Container page template.

Thank you for the info, appreciate it! However when I go to “Duplicate” an existing page which I want to re-use (just slight edits, etc.) I am still taken to the blog post layout with no existing content. If I change the layout, there’s still no content… So there’s no way to duplicate a page?

Hello @kcreative,

Please be advised that once you have built the page using the Builder, you cannot simply “Duplicate” it using any plugin. You will have to use the Template Manager in order to duplicate the page. Kindly check out the video in the secure note instead.

Thank you for the info. It does seem to work ok even when you duplicate a page - first you preview the page, then go back and go to “Edit” then choose “Edit With Cornerstone”
