How do I get more details on Cornerstone Charts? I use Flourish currently but it has a major drawback. I want the color of a column in a chart to depend on its value (e.g. value >60 then green; value 50-60 then amber; value <50 then red). Each chart has multiple columns to which this “color scheme” would apply. Flourish can’t do this. Can Cornerstone Charts?
Thanks, Neil
Hi @neilhartley,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Last month’s Status Report shares some of the details, and we’ll have more to share at launch. We look forward to having you join us!
OK, thanks Nabeel. I’d seen the Status Report, hence the question.
Hi Neil,
I think it is possible to set the Column color based on the condition in the Chart, still, I will check with our development team and let you know.
Thanks
Great question and thanks for your interest in Cornerstone Charts. Version 1 of Charts won’t have direct controls to do this. However I think we are extendable enough where I can get you a filter in which certain ranges will display certain colors for each bar. It uses Dynamic Content, so we can get very custom with properties in each chart. You could also use conditions, but that might make the Outline structure a little complex. It depends on how you would rather work with this. Talk to me if you need help with this too, we’ll get you squared away.
If you meant a gradient by those shifts in the colors. That most likely won’t be a feature till we have gradients everywhere in Cornerstone. It is something to look forward in the future though.
Have a great day!
