Contact from email form is not added to mailchimp audience

After entering the form, a confirmation message is given, so the form accepts the email.
I’ve turned on opt-in new used to mailchimp in the general setting and set my default form.
I’ve entered the API key, which the systems says is valid.
I have also added my list to " Email List/Form/Campaign" in the form settings.

Still whenever I use the form, the contact is not added to my mailchimp audience.

How do I get this to work? I have never used mailchimp before, could it be a problem on that side?

Please make sure that your Email Forms label coincide with the labels you have created in Mailchimp.
Kindly review the documentation again and trace back the steps you have done in setting up your form.
