Component Parameter - Responsive Text Alignment

Hello,

I have a problem with setting up a responsive text alignment of a component.

Screenshot 1: Parameters + Component at base breakpoint:

Screenshot 2: Parameter + Component at smallest breakpoint. As you can see the alignment “center” is not applied correctly:

Screenhot 3: Parameter + Component at smallest breakpoint but the first option (base breakpoint) is set to “center” and now it’s applied to all breakpoints:

And these are the custom attributes of that component:

I could apply the change of the alignment at the component per breakpoint, but it’s not meant to always be centered at the smallest breakpoint. So I wanted it to be adjustable.

So either I’m missing something within the parameters or custom attribute or the “isVar” it’s not working as intended

best regards

PS: Using the recent version of WP (6.5.2) and Pro (6.4.16).

Hi again,

looks like a found the problem.

I didn’t use the breakout mode to be able to use dynamic content like {{dc:p:__key__}} at the Align field at the text properties. I was not aware of the breakout mode and only by reading some forum posts I found this feature by accident.

I suggest to add an extra paragraph at the parameter docs on how & why to use this mode in certain circumstances. I know there is a paragraph about that mode at the doc about dynamic content but I didn’t realize it at the moment I was working with components and parameters.

best regards
Mirco

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve added a note in our parameter docs about this. Have a great day.
