I see the column animations have been removed, what happens with current sites that use these animations when updating?

I believe the old rows/columns have not changed… only the new rows/columns, so existing animations will stay

If existing animations will stay on old Columns, why not include this setting for new Columns?

Yes I read that, but that is a long term goal for them. Why not leave the current settings available until that happens?

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for writing in about this. To confirm, nothing will happen to existing sites. If you go under preferences you can still use the previous Row and Column elements which include those fade options.

If we add the old fade system to the new element, we end up in an awkward position where we have to always support the old behavior in addition to whatever new animations we include - we try to avoid being in positions where new development is directly influenced by limitations of the previous version.
