I’m trying to make my footer full length across the entire site (or at least look like it is) and I want that blue to replace the white on each side of the footer. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Regretfully, the Footer could not be expanded to Fullwidth in X. I recommend you upgrade to Pro to take advantage of the Footer Builder. Otherwise, you will need to put your Global Block Footer inside the Content and you need to add that to all pages of your site.
This could also be done using custom CSS but we do not provide that as part of our theme support as that work is a bit involved. We only can provide customization guidance in our One service.
