Changing top navigation and menu colours

Hi Guys,

I have a new black& white logo for my website https://www.commissionit.co.uk

I can see the header option in the theme options but cant see how i change the top background to black?

Also want to change the menu to black until hover over. Is that done in appearance/menu then enable css classes but cant work out what i need to change…

All the best

Hello Amin,

Thanks for writing in! Your site is using Integrity stack. If you want to change the navbar background color to black, please go to X > Theme Options > Integrity > Design and select “Dark”. The menu link and link hover colors can be change in X > Theme Options > Header > Links - Text. Use the color picker for the Navbar Links and Navbar Links Hover.

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

thanks i did this and it does work but it also changes all my footers and many other parts of the website content, woocommerce image backgrounds link to black as well. just want the header to change only?

Hey Amin,

Regretfully, changing color for the header only is not available in X. The stacks in X are design sets and the level of customizations or options offered are anchored to the stack’s design. So for Integrity Stack for example, it offers light and dark design. You can’t make the header dark while the rest of the parts are white.

For that, you’d need to upgrade to our Pro theme. One of the reasons why Pro was built is to give more flexibility to our users who want a custom header and footer. It comes with a Header and Footer builder, by the way.

If you don’t want to upgrade to Pro, your option would be to learn CSS and also learn how to use the browser’s element inspector. This way, you can customize the appearance of X where there’s no option offered.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.
