Changing the Ethos Magazine post slider size

The post slider on Ethos Magazine has very different dimensions than the featured images. This is causing the featured image to be cut off on the post slider. I’m fine with a little bit cut off but it is quite a bit of the top and bottom missing. Is there a way to change the size closer to the dimensions of what the featured images are? I am using 1200px-750px

Hello Aaron,

Thanks for writing in!

The post slider has a maximum height of 425 pixels only. It is using the original image size which means that your 1200x750 pixels has been resized and set to cover the post slider area. This is the reason why you are seeing that the featured image is a bit cut off. If you want to see the whole resized image, please check out this old thread first:

Applying the code from them old thread will get you this:

The whole image is displayed leaving some space on the left and the right side.

Best Regards.

Is there a way to decrease the width and make it smaller? Or will that mess with the white text and send it off of the slider?

Hey Aaron,

It’s not possible out of the box or with our Theme Options. But, almost anything is actually possible with custom coding. That is beyond the scope of our regular theme support though.

The codes we provide here in the forum like the one you saw in the other thread is only a guide. You need to learn CSS to understand it and do further CSS customization to your site.

If you need custom coding guidance from us, you need to subscribe to our One Premium Support.

If you need us to do the actual custom development, check out our Elite service here: https://theme.co/elite

Thanks.
