Changes to fonts aren't being output in the stylesheet – Beta 3 & 4

When adding new fonts, or changing the font family of an existing font, they’re not saving properly.

Repro:

  1. Load a page, and open up the Font Manager
  2. Select an existing Font Style, like Body
  3. Change the font family to Gochi

4. Save the page
5. Open the font manager again

Observed: The font manager will have a blank selection for font family. Also, if you look in the builder at any of the elements using that Font Style, they’ll be using some form of default style (in this case, a serif font).

Interestingly, if you inspect the front end, the CSS does apply correctly to the element

But it looks like the font itself isn’t being added to the stylesheet (in this case, one of the other Font Styles on this page is “Red Hat Display”, which I hadn’t changed).

Confirmed.

@alexander, I’m still having this issue in the latest beta.

Hi @devinelston,

Thanks! There were a couple different lingering issues here I was able to knock out for today’s patch. There’s one outstanding thing I’ve not cracked yet after shuffling things around. I’ll get to this next week.

If you add a new font, it won’t preview correctly until it is saved and the preview is reloaded at least once.

Hello, I’m new to using the beta version, I’m currently using the beta5 version and I’m having similar issues. I added a custom font. And created a new font template all this is showing up in the font manager. But when I try to select the font from the dropdown menu, it is showing but I can’t seem to select it.
I tried also what @alexander explained (saving it and reloading the preview) but also this doesn’t help.

I seem to have similar problems with loading templates. For example I tried installing a footer template from the design cloud, it prompts that it is installed but it doesn’t show up at all in the footer dropdown menu.
A newly created and saved template does show up and that I can select and load.

Sorry when my explanation isn’t very clear but I’m fairly unknown with the proper terms. Hopefully this is still useful information.

And overall I’m very excited to see all the upcoming changes!

Hi @SchoonhovenOntwerpStudio,

Thanks for sharing this, I wanted to confirm I’ve seen it but I’ve actually not been able to investigate this yet. I’ll confirm here when I can. Thanks for your patience!

Fixed the font issues in beta7. Still need to look at a few things in the template manager.
