Changes not being saved - Pepper Square Cleaners

Hi Team,

I’ve logged in and updated X and Cornerstone on this site (https://peppersquarecleaners.com) and tried to apply new business hours to the pages and page top. (New hours: mon to fri 7am to 6pm, saturdays 7:30am to 5:00pm.) They appear in the work environment when I’m logged in, but they don’t show as corrected when I view the site in another browser (like Firefox). Also the font appears to different in the work environment (it shows a serif font), it should be a non-serif font. Can you tell me what you find out? More info to come…

Hey @bluetroop2,

Thanks for writing in! I can see that you are still using X 8.1.3 and Cornerstone 5.1.3 which is not the latest. Please make sure that you are up to date. And also, I noticed that you are using CDN. You may need to clear all your CDN caches after making any site changes. Kindly check out this documentation instead:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

I’ve updated everything - theme, Cornerstone, PHP level, flushed the cache and disabled the CDN. Still having the same problem. Can you please check?

Oh no, the EXACT same thing is happening here as well… http://cardinalwingsaviation.com. What’s going on?

This all occurred after I updated X and Cornerstone to the current versions.

Hi @bluetroop2,

I have just checked by changing a few contents temporarily in the pages, and it shows in the frontend. If you are still having that issue, please mention the page where you are having such an issue, for further investigation.

Thanks

Nope. The text styling is off. Still showing a serif font. I originally used the Classic Text element when I built the site. Is that not compatible with the new versions of X and Cornerstone? Please respond.

Also on this site (http://cardinalwingsaviation.com/), the same styling problem. Shows a serif font everywhere, and that’s incorrect. ALSO… on the home page (http://cardinalwingsaviation.com) the mobile slider is showing above the desktop slider on a desktop view (it was hidden before, unless you were viewing on a mobile device). AND… the Classic Text Type elements at the bottom of the page under Rental Rates are not functioning at all.

Did the team thoroughly test the new theme and builder before the roll-out? You’ve got some bugs. Please respond, more information to come…

I manage LOTS of sites I built with X years ago. If there are compatibility issues, this is going to be a huge problem for me and my customers.

Hi @bluetroop2,

After reading your last message, it can be understandable the problem is with the FONT and related to it. Our development team is already aware of this issue and investigating it. I will notify them with your thread too, so our development team is aware of multiple reports.

Thanks

I also mentioned this issue…
ALSO… on the home page (http://cardinalwingsaviation.com) the mobile slider is showing above the desktop slider on a desktop view (it was hidden before, unless you were viewing on a mobile device). AND… the Classic Text Type elements at the bottom of the page under Rental Rates are not functioning at all.

Can you please give me a time estimate when these issues will be fixed?

Hello @bluetroop2,

Our developers are already into the issue. The X 10.0.3 and Cornerstone 7.0.3 will be rolling out anytime soon. We highly recommend that you do the updates in your staging area first so that your live sites will not be affected with the issues mentioned above.

Please bear with us.

Please keep me posted, this affect many of my projects. My email to come…

Please also check out our changelog and update status from time to time too.

Any news yet on these bug fixes?

The font issue you were having should be fixed in 6.0.3. Let us know if you are having issues here.

I see the mobile slider is hidden on the first site. On the second site the mobile slider does not have any breakpoints. I left it alone setting those values will hide them. Let us know if you have any issues.

I’m not sure I could find your Rental Rates page. Could you let us know the slug of that one?

https://peppersquarecleaners.com still experiencing font/styling issue. Headers, body text and navigation links all still displaying as serif fonts. See attached screenshot. They should all be non-serif Helvetica font. The mistake occurred with the new theme and builder update. These are classic elements. They should have retro-styled with the new updates came out. Please check once more and advise.

http://cardinalwingsaviation.com/ - for this site, I was able to fix the slider issue at the top of the home page (I don’t know how it got broken), but still two issues remain…

The “Rental Rates” are in a section at the bottom portion of the Home Page (http://cardinalwingsaviation.com/) and were built with the Classic Text Tyle element. It no longer works and the styling is wrong. See attached screen shot.

Also the body text, header text and the navigation text are the same as the incorrect issue from Pepper Square Cleaners. They are displaying as a serif font, but are assigned to be non-serif Helvetica. See screenshot attached.

Can you address these issues please?

Hello @bluetroop2,

Even if you already set up the fonts in the Font Manager, you still need to assign those fonts in the Theme Options so that the theme will have a global font settings.

To get your issue resolve, you need to assign a font family for the Body and Content and for the Headings in the theme options like this:

If your Classic Text Type element in the mentioned section is using heading tags, it will like to be bold. You might want to change it to <span> to use the global font setting for the body and content text on the page.

Best Regards.

The Font Manager tip did not work for this web site (https://peppersquarecleaners.com/), please see attached screen shot. Please advise.

It’s working now. Sorry to bother you
