Category Pages Not Showing Two Latest Posts after Updating Version 9.1.1

After updating version 9.1.1 in Icon stack, category pages are not showing the two latest blog posts in them. They show them in the beginning and then the third latest slides over them, leaving a blank space in the first row on the page. Please help.

Hi Gurbachan,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked all the websites listed in your Themeco Account but was not able to recognize the error you described. Can you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Specific Category URL where you are having this issue
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi,

Let me take one of my 3 sites for example. Here are tsome examples of affected category URLs::

Surprisingly, if I am not logged in, these pages are showing up as empty, but post links are very much there. If you cleck in the empty space, you will be able to open their linked blog posts.

And if you are logged in, they are not showing the two latest blog posts in them. They show them in the beginning and then the third latest slides over them, leaving a blank space in the first row on the page.

It’s there on all the 3 sites I have!

Here are the credentials for a new user with Administrative Access (in the Secure Note) for https://7chakras.org/wp-admin

While inside the backend, please DO NOT update the plugin named Wordpress Local SEO that is showing an update available against it.

Thanks!

Gurbachan Singh

Hello Gurbachan Singh,

We can see that you have updated to X 9.1.4 and Cornerstone 6.1.4. The issue should be resolved now. Upon checking the home page, I am seeing JS errors:

Based on the JS error, a 3rd party plugin, Fyrebox Quizzes is throwing the JS errors. Kindly temporarily deactivate the plugin, clear all your plugin caches and test your site again.

Best Regards.

Thanks for your reply!

I did what you suggested.

But the issue still persists!

Gurbachan Singh

Hello Gurbachan Singh,

I am still seeing the JS error. Can we temporarily deactivate the plugins one at a time to figure out which one is causing the issue? It could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

Kindly let us know how it goes.

I did that and discovered it was the plugin named Convert Plus that was the culprit. Right now I have deactivated it on all my three sites and they are working fine.

But, and a BIG BUT, Convert Plus is a good plugin that comes as Extensions along with Theme X, and I do want to keep using it.

What’s the way out?

Gurbachan Singh

Hello Gurbachan Singh,

If are using the ConvertPlus to display a modal popup, you can make use of the Modal element instead. Utilizing the ConvertPlus to launch a modal upon loading the page, there isn’t any substitute for that in the theme. It may be possible with custom development which is already beyond our support.

Best Regards.

So, will you be removing this plugin from your list of ‘Extensions’ on Theme X?

Gurbachan Singh

Hey Gurbachan,

We don’t have any news yet if it will be removed or not but this case is already in queue to be investigated by our development team.

For now, your options would be to have your web host revert your site from a working state or use the Modal element as my colleague suggested.

Hi,

What do you exactly mean by that? Could you please elaborate?

Thanks a lot!

Gurbachan Singh

Hi Gurbachan,

My colleague suggested you use the Modal element if you are using the Convert Plus plugin only for the Modal purpose. But if you are using the Modal to load while the page is loading, there is no other option than Convert Plus.

Thanks

You didn’t get my point.

I can use the Modal element only when I activate the plugin.

The moment I activate the plugin, the problem reported in this thread starts showing.

How can I use the Modal element of convert plus in that case?

G B Singh

Hello Gurbachan,

If you deactivate the ConvertPlus, you can still display a modal popup by using the Modal element. It is one of the elements available in the theme that you can use in the header builder or in the page builder. Check out the documentation here:

Hope this helps.
