Category page soooo slow, please help

I’m trying to improve the speed of my website and have got it pretty fast but when some people go to the category pages it’s super slow (can sometimes take up to 20 seconds to load) and I don’t know what to do to fix this. Also I’ve set the number of posts per page to be 8 but it’s still showing 9 - any idea how to force it to show 8?

I tested the website and category page, the average page load time comes around 1.65s. Further checking the website I see you are using WP Rocket plugin. Please clear the cache and then load time website again.

I also suggest you to take a look at our performance optimization guide to improve the page load time.
