Card Element | How to Video Background with Ratio 1:1

Hi,

i’ve checked the Forum but couldn’t found a topic about this question… Is it possible to use the card element and place a Edge to Edge Video (1:1 Ratio) on the back of the card wich autoplays when the card flips?

This should be used for kind of a “FAQ Section” where the answers needs to show up as a video.

Hope you get my idea and how to realize it with PRO and one of the Elements (Maybe Card?!).

Hello Pascal,

Thanks for writing in! If you use a video as a background, you do not much control over the size of the video. It is best that you set up a different structure and use the Video element instead. With the Video element, you will be able to control the video size or ratio of your video. Please check out this Video element documentation here:

A part of my question was not answered. Is it possible to use the back/flipside of the “card” element for a edge to edge video?

Hello Pascal,

Since you cannot control the video size, you cannot perfectly display the video from edge to edge of the back of the Card element.

Ok, and if the video ratio is not important?
The client just asks for: “Video on a backside from a flip card…”

Is this possible in general? Because in my case the video didn’t show up when I’ve tried It with the video as a background option

Hi Pascal,

That is not possible in the usual way, but you can add the video to the Global Blocks and then you can add that as a shortcode into the content of Back Content.
