Our WordPress account had a existing Themeco Cornerstone license. The person that had been maintaining the website removed their license. We have purchase a single use license for the website but I am unable to validate it when I entered the new license number. I have downloaded the newest version of Cornerstone Pro onto my laptop. I cannot find what I am doing incorrectly.
Hello Valerie,
Thanks for writing in! Please make sure that you have assigned the license code to the URL in your Themeco account before you can use the license code to validate the installed theme. Kindly check out this documentation:
Best Regards.
Yes, I have already utilized the information you sent me before coming here. It is not effective.
I believe the issue is the prior web designer and her license and trying to implement a new one.
Hello Valerie,
I have checked your Themeco account and your license code was assigned to Amadorevacs
site. This is the only site where you can use the license code. If your designer is validating other site URL, the license code needs to be reassigned to the new URL.
- See the secure note below.
Cheers.
Yes… I know this… when I attempt to copy and paste the license number it states it cannot validate the license on wordpress…
Hi Valerie,
The Pro theme MUST be active when you use the Pro license code to validate Cornerstone. You cannot use the Pro license code if you are using the Cornerstone plugin as a stand-alone plugin. You will have to do this:
1.) Go to Appearance > Themes.
2.) Activate the Pro theme
3.) Go back to Pro > Validation and use the Pro license code to validate it.
Kindly let us know how it goes.
There is not an opportunity nor option to select “Pro” only the link to the “fix” page I have previously shared.
Hello Valerie,
Based on the screenshots you have shared, I am not sure how you installed the Cornerstone plugin. When I checked your Themeco account, you have a Pro theme yet you did not use the theme on your site. Please log in to your Themeco account, download the Pro theme, and install and activate it.
If you do not want to install the Pro theme, you will need a separate Cornerstone license code because you are trying to use the standalone Cornerstone plugin. You cannot use the Pro theme license to validate a standalone Cornerstone plugin.
Thanks.
