Cannot Validate or update X Theme

I purchased a new license but cannot validate. (This is to an existing site that WAS validated under a previous license.) When I click on Fix and enter the validation code I copied from my license management page, then click enter, I get only a blank page. When I click back it still shows I’m not validated. Can you help?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for writing in! Upon checking your site URL assigned to this Themeco account, I see that you have Pro licenses but you’re trying to validate X theme using it. Basically you need to have a X theme license to validate your X theme and vise versa.

To resolve the issue, I would suggest you to download the latest version of Pro theme from your Themeco dashboard, install it and activate on your site. Then you should be able to validate your purchase. You can also refer to our validation guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-product-validation/55).

In case if you’re having further issues, provide us with your WordPress login credentials in a secure note along with your purchase code to investigate it further.

Meanwhile, ​To validate X properly, please do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license (https://theme.co/apex/licenses). You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
2] Go back to X > Validation, and insert the license code.

And if you have previously validated the site with another license, you will need to revoke and revalidate it.
1] Please go to X > Validation and revoke the validation (https://s3.amazonaws.com/community-themeco/app/uploads/2016/04/17110514/Capture53.jpg).
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license.
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X > Validation, and insert your license code again.
