Cannot redeclare class Cornerstone Shortcode Generator

Hi,

I have the exact same issue as the user describes here:

I pulled a live version of the site to the staging site (Go Daddy) and now the staging site has this error message and is inaccessible.

Your fix for the user above was to delete and reinstall the theme. How do I do this? Am I going to lose all of the settings and custom classes etc that have been set up in it (I also have a child theme)?

Please can you walk me through how to do this or suggest another fix?
I havent made any updates at all to have made this happen so assume its occurred during the syncing process on Go Daddy. Useless.

I have deactivated all of the plugins for now on the staging site so can log in to admin. Cornerstone is the one breaking it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Are you using Pro? If so, you will have to deactivate or remove Cornerstone in the plugins list because Cornerstone is already included to Pro and having it separately installed and active would cause an error.

You can login through FTP and go to wp-content/plugins then delete the Cornerstone directory that is in there.

Hope this helps.

Excuse my ignorance, how do I know if it’s using pro?

The website is using a child x theme. We have never manually activated Cornerstone, it was already available when we installed the theme.

The site was set up a year ago and has been working fine until the Go Daddy sync this morning.

Hi i have just tried to get my live site up and running on my staging server and i have the same problem. I am not on Pro its just X.

I just deleted the plugin and uploaded a zipped copy from the live site where it was still working. Activated the plug in and so far seems to be working ok. Hope that works for you too.

Glad to hear it’s sorted on your end @BaysKitchen.

@lakane-13, Please try the suggestion of @BaysKitchen.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi yes that seems to have worked, i reinstalled everything again from a new download (back up) of my live site including DB and all seems ok now. Thanks to both of you.

Glad to hear that @lakane-13.
