Site not accessible

Hi Guys,

I can’t access my site anymore and I think it has something to do with the theme. I deactivate all the plugins but nothing happened so I tried to switch from my child theme to pro and that gave me the error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Cornerstone_Shortcode_Generator in /home/content/a2pewpnas01_data05/36/4106036/html/wp-content/themes/pro/cornerstone/includes/classes/classic/builder/class-shortcode-generator.php on line 0

This is a managed wordpress site hosted with godaddy and it is setup with a staging site. The staging site is working just fine and this happened when I tried to sync staging to the domain 9as of now, just a temporary domain).

Any help would be highly appreciated! I’ll send login details in a secure note.

Thanks!

Ann

Hi there,

Please make sure that you use a new version of the PHP. Old versions sometimes make such errors. For more information:

http://php.net/supported-versions.php

Kindly contact GoDaddy and ask about the version of the PHP.

Thank you.

I have talked to GoDaddy and they are telling me it is the Cornerstone plugin that’s breaking the site. I’m not sure how to fix that since the plugin is no longer under “Plugins”.

Suggestions?

Ann

Hey Ann,

This looks like there is something wrong with GoDaddy’s staging setup because it appears to be combining or linking the live and staging site hence loading the classes twice. Pro does not have duplicate classes. Otherwise, it won’t work anywhere. With that said, this most probably an issue with GoDaddy’s staging setup. Would you mind re-installing Pro? If that doesn’t help, try deleting your staging WP install to see if the issue persists?

Thanks.

That sucks. I don’t really feel comfortable deleting the staging as I can’t see what’s been synced over to the domain.

I tried GoDaddy again and they’re telling me that Pro theme is one of the worst theme for their managed wordpress and staging environment – it always crash the sites. Also saying that they can’t fix anything.

I guess I’ll just copy all the page templates and download them.

Hello There,

I have investigated your site and I was able to fix the error. I deleted Pro theme and re installed it again. When visiting the front page, the error is already gone. Here is my thoughts about what might have happened. You installed previous version of Pro and as soon as you updated to Pro 1.2.3, there was a corrupted file or might have been a duplicate file which was causing the error. Well anyway, since the error is gone, you can now edit the page and continue creating your pages.

If you need anything else we can help you with, don’t hesitate to open another thread.

Best Regards.

OMG! I can’t believe you did that!! THANK YOU so much Rue!!

I’ll most likely say away from GoDaddy’s staging environment going forward.

Seriously, thank you!

You’re most welcome.
