Cannot Login to turn off Under Construction

Hello,
I am using the Under Construction plugin. My site is: https://bullseyesurplus.com
I have entered my password in the bottom corner, but then trying to go to /dashboard or /wp-admin does nothing. I cannot get logged into the backend of my site.

Hi @bullseye_surplus,

Thanks for reaching out.

I guess you had a security plugin that hides your wp-admin, I suggest that you will deactivate that plugin first, since you are not able to log in your wp-dashboard you need Cpanel or FTP to access the plugin then go to this directory wp-content/plugins then look for a security plugin or under construction folder then rename it so that the plugin will be deactivated.

Hope that helps and let us know how it goes.

Thank you.

I have the same issue, I have removed the under construction plugin but it seems to break the site and I get a complete blank page. Could you advise how i can login to Wp admin?

Hi @Tylernz1,

We have found the issue in one of your site from your user dashboard.
Seems the URL for wp-admin is redirecting to the page with home in it.
E.G: /home/wp-login.php

When tried without home the page works, but no style was loaded.

We found that the URL for styles having the home into it.

That means the when it moves to the actual URL i.e your website URL, home string is not been removed and that is why its coming.
I suggest you to try to login E.G: /wp-login.php and replace the URL(s). There are many URL replacement Plugins available in WordPress.
This article will be helpful on this:https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-update-urls-when-moving-your-wordpress-site/

If you are not able to get into the wp-admin you need to replace that from your database by accessing phpmyadmin through Cpanel.

Hope it helps.

ok now im in and can access WP, im trying to get into the editor now and it seems like it is throwing up another error.

Hey @Tylernz1,

Thanks!

I changed the folder name for the plugin and was able to get in. Thank you.

You’re welcome!
