Cannot Copy Styles From a Column that Cannot be Selected

Hi!

I have a testimonial element inside a Flex column. The element covers the whole column, so I cannot right-click to the column to copy its styles.

I would suggest an option to click on the little text box that appears in the top-right corner when hovering over an element, and that would select one level higher container. Once the hidden Column container is selected, the right-click over it should be possible, perhaps over the same Text box that appears on the top, so the click focus is not lost.

This is an idea borrowed from the Oxygen builder. Here is the screenshot of the little arrow that does it:

My current workaround is to set temporarily a large column height, so I can select it.

Thanks!

We still need to add the right click menu to the Layout screen. Perhaps we can add it to breadcrumbs as well. At this time we can’t really add anything else inside the observer label. If you’ve noticed, if you mouse over that label it immediately goes away and the observer starts targeting the next element.

Right, I’m sure you’ll find the best option!

It would help selecting Rows too. Right now, the most prominent place to click are the Row divider lines, but now that they are draggable, clicking here is not an easy task anymore, as it is easy to accidentally change the percentages.

I have just watched the Elementor introductory video and they also have that handle at the top. It supports right click. I think that the clickable handle is the best UX for these situations.

Thanks!

For now we’ve added the right click menu to the Inspector breadcrumbs and the Layout items in addition to the preview area. This will make the context menu available for all elements.
