Can you please explain the licence model?

I just paid for a licence for X theme a few weeks ago. However, today, X theme will not update to the newest version via the WordPress update page. There is no error, it just returns but does not update and is still available for update. I’m using X version 7.2.1 and the most recent is version 7.2.3.

When I go to the themes admin page, instead of trying to update through the updates admin page I look at the theme and get a button to purchase the X theme. However, I already paid for that. I don’t see a place to enter a licence key or anything like that.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, before this problem HAD to install another plugin called Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) and sign over all my Google Analytics permissions to that company.

The drop down menus have stopped working, and the X-shortcodes plugin will not activate.

What is going on??? Are you a paid plugin that forces me to sign over all the site data AFTER I PAY for the plugin? And why can’t I update? Why don’t the menus work?

Hi Joseph,

Sorry that you’re having that issue, the issue with the dropdown menu might be related to the X theme not being updated to the latest version since you already have the latest version of Cornerstone.

A few days back, we have an issue with our validation API and that invalidate some user sites (this could be the case on your site). But this was already resolved, please revalidate your site under X > Validation, If you don’t see the input code field, try to revoke the validation first. see the details in the following link.

After you successfully revalidate the site, update your X theme again under Dashboard > Updates

How to update

Where did you get that plugin? X Shortcode has been discontinued a long time ago and was replaced with the Cornerstone plugin. Please delete that, it might cause a conflict.

If you still can’t update the X theme after a successful re-validation, try deactivating all your plugins and update the theme. A plugin might be preventing/conflicting with the theme update.

If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.
